Repertorio Espagnol has announced BARCELÓ CON HIELO (BARCELO ON THE ROCKS) as part of their 2013-14 season. The world premiere of Marco Antonio Rodriguez's 2012 play -- winner of the MetLife "Nuestras Voces" playwriting competition -- will debut June 13th, 2014, directed by Jose Zayas.

Synopsis: In the course of one night, Nino Antonio Cruz, a Dominican from El Cibao living in New York City, confronts his own mortality and the dark secrets that have plagued his family for generations. Secrets intrinsically tied to the island's political history.

The production will be presented in Spanish with captions in English and Spanish through the company's new Simultext Captioning System delivered by video screens on each individual seat at its Gramercy Arts Theatre on East 27th Street in Manhattan.
