It is with great pride and a spirit of solidarity with Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, Goodman and many other theaters in the region, that Raue Center For The Arts and Williams Street Repertory announce their joining of The Ghostlight Project.

On January 19, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., Raue Center and WSRep will stand behind their missions and join theaters from all over the nation to create a "light" for the future of the arts.

Inspired by the theatrical tradition of leaving a "ghost light" on in a darkened theater, the light created by The Ghost Light Project will physicalize the missions of Raue Center and WSRep to enrich the lives of ALL through the arts regardless of race, class, religion, age, gender, identity or sexual orientation. This light will mark a pledge by Raue Center and WSRep to stand for and protect the values of inclusion, participation and compassion for EVERYONE. Raue Center and WSRep invite the community to join them.

The Ghostlight Project will bring together over 500 participating organizations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. From Broadway to high school auditoriums, members of the theater community will gather from coast to coast on January 19, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in each time zone to light a light and make a pledge.

Raue Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of all through the arts.
