In Episode 202, Joel B. New sat down with Sheri Sanders, a Rock Musical Repertoire Coach, a private audition coach, and the woman behind ROCK THE AUDITION, a musical theatre masterclass that has been taught all across the country.

One day, Backstage paid a visit to her rock class, wrote an article about her leading a revolution, and the next thing you know, Ms. Sanders was asked to create the pilot episode of the reality television show MY TIME on The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Sheri was then immediately invited by Hal Leonard books to be the first person to ever write a book on auditioning for rock musicals in the history of the world.

Song Premiere: "Beautiful, Sleeping Giant" from STANDALONE: A SONG CYCLE. Music and lyrics by Joel B. New. Nathan Siler on acoustic guitar. Recorded live at TruVoice Studios NYC on Sunday, November 17th, 2013.

"Something New" is a biweekly musical theatre podcast that dissects what it means to be a working, multifaceted artist in America, always concluding with a song from one of Joel B. New's latest projects. "Something New" is available on iTunes and Stitcher, among other podcast directories. For more info, visit joelbnew.com.
