Professional Development Workshops for Artists Announced

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is hosting professional development opportunities for artists in June-"Get Out There! Getting Your Work from the Studio into the World." The workshops will cover topics such as presentation, websites, artist statements, applications for exhibitions, approaching galleries and museums, how to promote your work, and more.

The next workshop will be held June 3rd at 1 PM in Rahway at 1670 Irving Street. Individual consultations will be held on June 10th and 17th from 2-5 PM at the Arts Center in Summit. Each workshop is only $20 and is a great opportunity for you to gain new tools and insights to enhance your practice. Sign up by phone or email: 908-273-9121 or swalko@artcenternj.org

The workshop on June 3rd will be led by Felicity Hogan, Director of New York Foundation for the Arts' NYFA Learning and Sarah Walko, Director of Education and Community Engagement at the Arts Center. Ms. Hogan specializes in providing professional development opportunities for artists and arts administrators and serves on numerous advisory boards, selection panels, and as a guest critic.
