Portman and Kutcher to Co-Star in Upcoming Romantic Comedy

Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher will both star in an upcoming romantic comedy to be directed by Ivan Reitman, according to reports by "Variety." The film, which has a working title of "Friends With Benefits" features a screenplay written by Elizabeth Meriwether.

While information regarding the plot has yet to be released, it revolves around the idea that men and women have an easier time become sexually involved than emotionally involved.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in May and a release date of January 7 has been set.

Reitman's past directing credits include the "Ghostbuster" films and he was a producer on Paramount's "Up in the Air."

Portman's Broadway credits include THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK as well as the Shakespeare in the Park production of THE SEAGULL. Film credits include "Brothers" and the upcoming films "Thor," "Black Swan," and "Your Highness."

Kutcher's most recent film was "Valentine's Day," and his next project is "Killers" with Katherine Heigl which will open on June 4. He is famous for playing the role of Kelso on "That 70s Show."
