Renaissance City Theatre Inc., the producing entity at the Granite Theatre of Westerly announces the opening Agatha Christie's "Black Coffee". The show opens Friday September, 2016 and runs all Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through October 2, 2016. Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

John Cillino (Westerly, RI) directs the show. The cast features Michael Jepson (West Warwick, RI), Greg Bliven (Bradford, RI), Hassan Demartino (Pawcatuck, CT), John Lamar (Gales Ferry, CT), Geoff Leatham (Wyoming, RI), Michelle Mania (Charlestown, RI), Chris Maxwell (Cranston, RI), Brian Olsen (Westerly, RI), Mary Pevear (Wakefield, RI) and Veronica Strickland (Waterford, CT).

This little known mystery will surprise and delight Christie fans. Written in 1934, the story concerns a physicist named Sir Claude Amory who has come up with a formula for an atom bomb. In the first act, Sir Claude is poisoned (in his coffee, naturally) and Agatha Christie's Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot is called in to solve the case. He does so after many wonderful twists and turns in true Christie fashion. Join us in this wonderfully atmosphere thriller that will take you, like a Disney World ride into a time travel trip, smack in the middle of a 1930's silver screen mystery.

Reservations are also being taken for the musical comedy "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" opening October 14, 2016 at The Granite. "Black Coffee" performances are Thursday through Saturday Evenings at 8 pm and Sunday Matinees at 2 pm. Tickets for this show are $20, 62 and older is $17 and children are $12. For reservations, directions or other information, call the Box Office at 401-596-2341. You can also visit our website for information or to order tickets online www.granitetheatre.com.
