Photo Coverage: MEMPHIS & RAGTIME Casts Enjoy Happy Hour at Virgils
On Thursday, January 7th, to kick of the New Year, The Broadway League and Mark Aldrich of The Happy Hour Guys hosted the first Broadway Happy Hour at Virgil's in Times Square (152 W. 44th Street). Cast members from RAGTIME and MEMPHIS joined producers, industry staff, and Broadway fans for pre and post-show drinks and appetizers, and Mark taped an episode of The Happy Hour Guys web show. This event was an experiment to enhance the power of social networking and digital marketing and engage existing and new audiences, as the event was only posted on Facebook pages, Twitter feeds and websites of the League, Happy Hour Guys, RAGTIME and MEMPHIS, and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the good times had by all.
On the first Thursday of each month, The Broadway League and The Happy Hour Guys will choose a theatre district bar/restaurant and current Broadway show(s) to participate in the Broadway Happy Hour, both pre and post-show, to allow members of the Broadway community to mingle with each other and their fans.
