Photo Coverage: Drama Desk Awards Cocktail Reception

A cocktail reception was held on Tuesday night, May 2, 2006 to honor those who had been nominated for a 2006 Drama Desk Award and was there!

The Drowsy Chaperone led the pack this year, garnering 14 nominations. Grey Gardens followed with 12 nominations, and two shows received 9 nominations each—See What I Wanna See and Sweeney Todd. The Wedding Singer and Jersey Boys each received 8 nominations

The 51st Annual Drama Desk Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 21 at 9:00 PM, at the LaGuardia Concert Hall (Lincoln Center, 100 Amsterdam Avenue). For the third consecutive year, Harvey Fierstein will host the ceremony.

Walter McBride As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night.
