Photo Coverage: Dancing on Broadway Panel

Broadway performers Sutton Foster, Kelli O'Hara, Jonathan Pryce and John Lloyd Young joined director/choreographers Kathleen Marshall and Casey Nicholaw and choreographer Sergio Trujillo for the Drama Desk panel "Dancing on Broadway: The Art and the Staging" at Sardi's (234 W. 44th St., between Broadway and Eight Avenues) on Thursday, April 6th.

Richard Ridge, a Drama Desk member and host of "Broadway Beat TV," moderated the panel. Tony Award-winners Foster (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Pryce (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Tony Award-nominee O'Hara (The Pajama Game) and Young (Jersey Boys) offered their personal perspectives on performing and dancing in stage musicals eight times a week, while Tony Award-winner Marshall (The Pajama Game), Nicholaw (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Trujillo (Jersey Boys) discussed their individual approaches to staging and choreographing dance numbers for the Broadway stage.

Ben Strothmann Ben Strothmann has been a portrait and theatrical photographer since 1995. Since building his first darkroom in his hometown of Milwaukee WI, his portrait studio now looks out over Manhattan where he shoots headshots and production photos. Born to a famous cheesecake lady (Suzy Strothmann of Suzy's Cream Cheesecakes), Ben is also an actor and pianist. Currently he lives in Astoria and studies guitar and Icelandic.
