Paper Mill Announces WORST VALENTINE'S DAY Contest

Paper Mill Playhouse one of the country's premier not-for-profit theaters, is the place where American musical theater is celebrated, cherished, and pushed in exciting new directions, invites theater lovebirds to dig into their suppressed memories to share their #WorstVDayEver with the theater on Facebook and Twitter from January 31 - February 5, 2014. One Facebook winner and one Twitter winner will win a romantic dinner for two at Moonshine Modern Supper Club in Downtown Millburn and opening night tickets to see The Other Josh Cohen on February 23, 2014 at 7:00pm.

Like the title character in the upcoming new musical The Other Josh Cohen, everyone's had at least one Valentine's Day that they would rather forget. Maybe your date didn't show up? Maybe you got dumped the night before? Maybe you couldn't go out for a couples Valentine's dinner because you were the single one out? Maybe you stayed in, alone, watching a sappy romantic comedy while binging on heart shaped chocolates and sugar cookies? If any of these scenarios sound remotely familiar, Paper Mill Playhouse wants to hear from you!

To celebrate Valentine's Day this year, Paper Mill Playhouse invites users to share their funniest, sappiest, or most ridiculous memory on Facebook and Twitter by using the hashtag #WorstVDayEver from January 31 - February 5, 2014. After compiling all of the Facebook and Twitter responses, we will create a Facebook poll with some of our favorite responses, but we're going to need your help! Please help Paper Mill pick one Twitter winner and one Facebook winner by casting your vote in our Facebook poll from February 6, 2014 - February 14, 2014.

At 5 p.m. on February 14, 2014, one Facebook winner and one Twitter winner will be announced. The winners will celebrate a wonderful date night by receiving two free tickets to see The Other Josh Cohen and a three course pre fixe dinner for two at Moonshine Modern Supper Club in Downtown Millburn.

Paper Mill Playhouse is proud to continue its 75th Anniversary Season with another new musical The Other Josh Cohen. The Other Josh Cohen features a book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen. Ted Sperling (Striking 12, See What I Wanna See) will direct with musical staging by Andrew Palermo. Vadim Feichtner serves as Music Director. The Other Josh Cohen will feature Steve Rosen, David Rossmer, Hannah Elless, Vadim Feichtner, Cathryn Salamone, Ken Triwush and Kate Wetherhead. The Other Josh Cohen will play the Millburn, New Jersey theater from February 19 through March 16. The Other Josh Cohen is generously supported by individuals of Paper Mill Playhouse's Raise the Curtain campaign celebrating Paper Mill Playhouse's 75th Anniversary.

The Other Josh Cohen is a hilarious original musical comedy. Good guy Josh Cohen is caught in a lifelong battle with bad luck. He's single, broke, and woefully underemployed when his apartment is robbed. But then a mysterious letter arrives that could change his life forever. "Imagine Seinfeld meets Rodgers and Hart directed by Woody Allen," remarked Backstage. This delectable new musical makes its way from Off Broadway to the Paper Mill stage and beyond. The Other Josh Cohen will be performed eight times a week, Wednesday through Sunday. Performance Schedule: Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday at 1:30pm and 7:30pm, Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 1:30pm and 8:00pm and Sunday at 1:30pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now and range from $27 to $98.
