2012 saw Panto Day's 'A Day in the Life of Pantoland' campaign reach over 1.5 million Twitter users, with Panto Day's official hashtag '#panto' trending in various towns and cities. This year 'A Day in the Life of Pantoland' is back, ready for Panto Day 2013 on Saturday 7th December with a host of the UK's favourite pantomime performers signed up to provide followers a unique glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes.

Having appeared in numerous pantomime throughout his career, 2013 sees Alan Fletcher aka Neighbours' Dr. Karl Kennedy (@DoctorKK) take the stage as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks's production of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood. Alan said:

"I love panto because it ticks all the entertainment boxes. Comedy, thrills, interaction between audience and performers and spontaneity with a bit of scariness thrown in for good measure. I can't wait to get into a live tweeting session on Panto Day because interacting with my audience is the most rewarding and valuable part of my job."

Joining Alan is Scotland's favourite panto Villain Grant Stott (@GrantStott973), who this year plays Captain Hook in his ninth consecutive pantomime at the King's Theatre, Edinburgh. Grant said:

"I think Panto Day is a great way for fans of panto and those of us who live, eat and breathe it for huge chunks of the year get to interact using social media."

A much in demand panto performer, Kev Orkian (@TheKevOrkian) will also be partaking in the Panto Day tomfoolery as he tweets from the Milton Keynes Theatre as Muddles alongside Jennifer Ellison's Wicked Queen and Warwick Davis's Prof in Snow White. Kev said:

"Panto season is the greatest. A real opportunity to bring madness, mayhem, and magic into one show. No other theatrical regime is as physically hard or as emotionally rewarding. I can't wait to live tweet about Panto Day. Bringing all the actors, singers and dancers from every panto around the country together is going to be crazy fun...exactly what Panto is about...!"

Making a welcome return to the world of Panto Day is the Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock's favourite Dame, Craig Glover (@craigglover). Craig's tweets last year provided a fascinating insight into a Dame's daily routine and this year he's looking forward to revealing even more! Craig said:

"I am delighted to be asked to tweet again for Panto Day after the success of last year's event. Panto is a celebrated art form throughout the UK (and beyond) and is the ultimate fun for everyone. This year, I will be tweeting throughout the day, giving followers a true insight into the daily life of the pantomime dame. I will also be gathering interviews with the cast and theatre staff and plenty of backstage and rehearsal footage to create our 2013 Panto Day Vlog. Expect a cheeky glimpse of some costumes and perhaps a time lapse of the transformation from Craig to Dame Trot."

Further official Panto Day Tweeters will be announced in due course via Panto Day's official Twitter Feed @Panto_Day, Facebook page www.facebook.com/celebratepanto and website www.celebratepanto.co.uk
