Manthan is one of a kind non-profit annual street play festival which aims to spread social awareness and bring change through the medium of street plays.

Unlike other street play festivals, Manthan is not meant to be about performances in renowned amphitheatres, neither it's about hefty cash prizes. It is an effort of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies' street play society, Verve, initiated to spread a message of hope and revival, to spur people towards transformation with a belief that the power lies within them.

Manthan'17 featured about 125 teams performing street plays throughout and outside the country about relevant social topics at roads, schools, markets, NGOs, slums, villages, monuments, etc.

Now in its 10th edition, Manthan is the largest street play festival in India.

Manthan is organised by Verve - The Street Play Society of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi. Verve is one of the most recognized theatre group in the country. Over the years Verve has performed street plays on topics like 'Inequality', 'Whistle Blowing', 'Physical Disability', 'Political Consciousness', 'Religious Fanaticism', 'Censorship of Arts' and 'Plight of the Red Corridor Tribal'.
