The author known as P. A. Ramour reflects on his journey through life with humor, passion and nostalgia in his new poetry collection, "Murmurings of the Heart: One Angelic Kiss" (published by iUniverse).

"My poems were inspired by the beauty and talent of a new found love in my Golden years that I call 'Angel' and I was compelled by her 'One Angelic Kiss' to express my love for her in the ardent form of verse," Ramour writes. "With an intense desire I poured out my heart to her."

Expounding on themes of friendship, unrequited love and appreciation of nature, "Murmurings of the Heart" takes readers through the author's childhood, friendships and life in northern Minnesota, all the way through his golden years. His words offer insight, encouragement and a testament to the power of faith and hope.

An excerpt from the poem, "Companionship":

"Though from a different harbor in a distant nation,
we'll come together in our common destination.
She's like an enchantress dancing
with silken gowns flowing.
Our companion ship has my heart glowing
here on the briny."
