Original A CHORUS LINE Cast Member John Mineo Dies at 74

BroadwayWorld is sad to report that John Mineo, an original cast member of both the Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of A Chorus Line, has died at the age of 74.

Mineo made his Broadway debut as Leo in the original production of Hello, Dolly! in 1964. He went on to appear in 15 other Broadway productions, including the original production of A Chorus Line. Mineo's most recent role on Broaday was in the current revival of Chicago as an understudy for Amos Lee.

In addition to being a performer, Mineo directed and choreographed numerous productions in Japan, which is where he met and married his partner, Kyo. The couple have a son named Aren.
