In anticipation of the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor, 2016 MAC Award nominee Marcus Goldhaber has teamed with IAVA (Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America) for an official IAVA VETTOGETHER and BENEFIT CONCERT to both celebrate our veterans and help fund CARRY YOU ON,Goldhaber's upcoming "Album for Action," through Kickstarter (an official Kickstarter "Project We Love"),so far raising over $30,000 entering its final week of crowdfunding. One half (50%) of all album sale proceeds to be donated to IAVA. The push is on!

After four years of bringing this project to live stages in clubs, concert halls, arenas, festivals and other veterans related events from New York to Philadelphia - including the past two New York Veterans Day Parades - CARRY YOU ON is finally ready for the recording studio. The "Album for Action" of 10 new original songs was written by Goldhaber, the acclaimed NYC jazz singer-songwriter, to help bridge the disconnect between civilians and military veterans through music.

"I wrote this music to give civilians and veterans the confidence to begin and continue the conversation that we both so desperately need to have," says Goldhaber. "I've seen the impact of these songs first-hand. I've performed for veterans and civilians in the same room."

CARRY YOU ON will include "Come Home America," the originAl Goldhaber anthem he released on Veterans Day 2013. The reaction and live concert outreach it has since sparked ultimately became the impetus to write and record enough songs for this upcoming album.

At one performance, a Marine came up to Goldhaber and said that after being thanked for his service so many times, and not knowing how to respond, "he now felt he had a starting point." At another, a sailor approached Goldhaber and said that, after hearing one of his songs, she felt more comfortable knowing "part of her story was now on stage."

Says Joseph P. Brooks, president and COO of Liberty USO: "Marcus Goldhaber has a precious vision to embrace and support our troops and veterans with his rousing anthem as the soundtrack. It's the start of a movement, and being on the ground floor we stand tall in not only participating, but urging everyone to join with us as it spreads across the country."

WHY: "Everyone has a stake in this fight," says Goldhaber. "Music has staying power. Music lasts. These stories, as told through song, will stay with people as a constant reminder. You don't remember a news story the same way. You don't hum the evening news. That's my story. That's what brought me to this. That's what I'm passionate about. It's about human connection, and as an artist, that's always been my purpose."
