According to TVNZ.com, One Direction, the band which was created by Simon Cowell during a previous season of the UK's THE X FACTOR, is about to ink a deal for their own reality TV show.

'The Story of My Life' singers are reportedly in negotiations for a multi-million dollar deal to star in a ten-part reality series. According to the source, discussions are "pretty much" finalized. In an interview with the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, an insider revealed, "Producers have met with the band's representatives and it's pretty much a done deal." They added, "Details are being ironed out, including budgets and when to film."

One Direction is made up of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne. In the TV series, the teenage heartthrobs will find themselves surrounded by cameras which will film their every move, similar to their recent film documentary, This Is Us.

Said the source, "They are at the top of their game and that will translate into big ratings."

No details have been revealed as to when filming will begin, however the group themselves have suggested that they will need a bit of time off following their current world tour. Said Horan, "We had a bit of time off after finishing the world tour but the new album came out last week so we are doing all the promo for that. Jet lag kills me. The flying is OK, I don't mind that - but the jet lag is a nightmare ... We've got some time off over Christmas."

He adds, "It will give us a chance to relax and enjoy it with the family. We are busy but you just have to get on with it."
