According to the Daily Mail, CATS star Nicole Scherzinger will return to the stage to preview a new musical version of AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS, with music and lyrics by FINDING NEVERLAND's Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy, who have been working with Harvey Weinstein on the project.

AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS and FINDING NEVERLAND will be previewed at the Weinstein Comapny's pre-Oscar dinner tomorrow night, February 20, in Beverly Hills. Scherzinger will perform five songs from the musical alongside Barlow and INTO THE WOODS' James Corden at the event.

AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS is still on the hunt for a director and book writer.

Scherzinger, who just finished her run as 'Grizabella' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS at the London Palladium, previously worked with Barlow as a judge on THE X FACTOR. Originally the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Scherzinger launched her solo career in 2010 and has since become a popular TV personality, singer and actress.

Tony winner for ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, James Corden just starred as 'The Baker' in Disney's INTO THE WOODS movie. He has also appeared on Broadway in THE HISTORY BOYS and starred in MARTIN GUERRE in the West End. Corden is also the new host of THE LATE LATE SHOW. Among his recent film credits are ONE CHANCE and BEGIN AGAIN, as well as the Hulu series THE WRONG MANS.

Barlow, whose FINDING NEVERLAND opens on Broadway this spring, is also working with Tim Firth and David Pugh on a musical adaptation of the film CALENDAR GIRLS. He also wrote two songs for the NEW YORK SPRING SPECTACULAR at Radio City Music Hall and is composing the music for the upcoming Eddie The Eagle movie, starring Hugh Jackman. Not only that, but Barlow's TAKE THAT arena tour launches in Glasgow this spring.

The composer/lyricist also revealed his desire to work with Disney on a "big-time" stage show - time will tell which one!
