Doug Manders is just an ordinary guy who appreciates the wonders and beauty of nature especially the high snowy country. He was educated at Carey grammar in Melbourne where he found the love of walking and photography. He learnt to ski with the family and did cross country with friends. He works as a theatre technician in a busy Melbourne hospital. Manders lives in the Dandenong ranges outside of Melbourne which has a beauty in itself.
