Disney's popular screen-to-stage adaptation of NEWSIES ended its run on Broadway this weekend after more than 2 years on the Great White Way and a new video featurette focusing on the lottery for the final performance is now available to view.

The closing Broadway company of NEWSIES featured Corey Cott as Jack Kelly, John Dossett as Joseph Pulitzer, Liana Hunt as Katherine Plumber, Lavon Fisher-Wilson as Medda Larkin, Ben Fankhauser as Davey, Andy Richardson as Crutchie, and Luca Padovan and Zachary Unger alternating the role of Les.

Of note, NEWSIES was initially intended for a Broadway run of just 101 performances back when it opened in March, 2012.

Subsequently, the show extended and producers eventually committed to an open run, with the show clocking in a total of 1005 performances and attendance of more than 1 million, with a gross of over $100M, by the time it closed on Sunday.
