Guerrilla Broadway LLC has confirmed that multi-platinum, 80's pop vocalist Gioia Bruno is slated to join RuPaul's Drag Race alumni in the cast of James St. James' new musical.

Bruno rose to fame as one of three members in Expose', the pioneering girls group responsible for several Top Ten hits including Point of No Return, Let Me Be The One, Seasons Change, and Come Go With Me.

She joins the other previously announced cast members and creatives: RuPaul's Drag Race alum and YouTube sensation Willam Belli as "Kitty", and RuPaul's Drag Race winner and America's Next Top Model makeup artist Raja (Sutan Amrull) on Hair, Makeup & Costume Design.

MAD QUEEN is adapted from the semi-autobiographical diaries of James St. James-- legendary NYC nightlife figure, co-founder of the Club Kid movement of the late 80's and 90's, and host of the wildly popular World of Wonder series TRANSFORMATIONS. It features a book by him and Nicholas Nova, with synthesizer-pop music & lyrics by Paul Daniel Cloeter.

St. James gained international attention after the release of his co-authored biopic feature film PARTY MONSTER, which starred Seth Green as James and Macaulay Culkin as his Club Kid co-founder Michael Alig, who infamously murdered their friend and drug dealer Angel Melendez.

Said Nova of Bruno's involvement, "We are honored and thrilled to have Gioia joining us on MAD QUEEN. She is a charismatic, energetic performer who is adored by her fans. We have no doubt our audiences will adore her too."

Guerrilla Broadway LLC was formed by Nova and Cloeter, who also co-founded the 501(c)(3) charity What's The Benefit, inc. They have produced original musicals on Broadway in venues like the Stephen Sondheim Theatre and Studio 54, the New York International Fringe Festival, and at Joe's Pub - The Public Theatre's world renowned cabaret stage.
