Barnes & Noble at 86th and Lexington in New York City will welcome the cast and creators of FUN HOME, The Public Theater production based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel, for a musical performance and CD signing tonight, March 13, 2014 at 6 p.m.

Set to appear are composer Jeanine Tesori and book writer and lyricist Lisa Kron, with original cast members Griffin Birney, Michael Cerveris, Roberta Colindrez, Noah Hinsdale, Judy Kuhn, Sydney Lucas, Beth Malone, Joel Perez and Alexandra Socha.

PS Classics just released the original cast recording on February 18 of the acclaimed Public Theater musical FUN HOME, which was directed by Sam Gold and features music by Tesori and book and lyrics by Kron. The cast and orchestra of FUN HOME assembled in a New York studio on December 2, and the album was produced by PS Classics co-founder Tommy Krasker, who has received 11 Grammy nominations for his cast recordings. PS Classics has also previously recorded and released the cast recording of The Public Theater production of Road Show.

From four-time Tony Award-nominated composer Jeanine Tesori (Caroline, or Change) and Tony-nominee Lisa Kron(In The Wake, Well) comes a fresh, daring new musical based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Alison Bechdel. When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family's Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father's hidden desires. Directed by Sam Gold, FUN HOME is a groundbreaking world-premiere musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.

Barnes & Noble is located at 86th & Lexington Ave -- 150 East 86th Street, New York, NY 10028. Call 212-369-2180 or click here for more information. Priority seating with purchase of the CD.
