MTV's "Real World" is shaking things up when, for the first time EVER in the franchise's history, exes are brought together to live under the same roof in "REAL WORLD: EX-PLOSION" set to air in 2014. In what is sure to be the most intense season yet, the series returns to the iconic city of San Francisco where the show starts off with seven strangers living, partying and hooking up in a beautifully designed loft space in the Polk Gulch neighborhood. Things take a dramatic turn when The Exes of the original seven roommates surprisingly take the house by storm and move right in. In the midst of new relationships that started to brew before their exes arrived, the roommates find out very quickly that things can get complicated as loyalty is tested, tempers flare and romances sizzle and fizzle.

In a city where there are no holds barred, these roommates quickly learn that living with your ex in a time when you want freedom can be a blessing and a curse. For some, the lines between exes and roommates are drawn and crossed, while love triangles lead to drama and broken hearts. For others comes the realization, that the love they have always wanted has been in front of them all along and relationships are renewed.

"We wanted to give our audience a fresh take on the series," said Susanne Daniels, President of Programming, MTV. "We are excited about this season's twists and unexpected turns."

"We're incredibly excited to throw a new huge twist into the Real World's 29th season by introducing a fresh dynamic to the relationships in the house," said Jonathan Murray, Creator and Executive Producer of Real World. "The original seven cast members have no idea their exes will be moving in, which spurs drama, humor, excitement, unpredictability and many incredibly real situations that will resonate with our viewers."
