MAMMA MIA! Farewell Tour Will Host Open Casting Calls in Los Angeles & Chicago

MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, will hold an open call casting search for the roles of Donna and Sam as it embarks on its National Farewell Tour. If you love ABBA and travel (and sequins!) then "take a chance" to join the cast of MAMMA MIA! as the show hits the road one final time.

Auditions will be held in Los Angeles and Chicago this summer. Applicants must sign up online in advance to secure an audition time. Online signups begin today, May 31st.

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

[DONNA] (late 30s-early 40s - the mother of a 20 year old girl) Any ethnicity. Attractive and free-spirited. A former lead singer in a group called "Donna and the Dynamos" who now owns and runs a hotel/casino on a Greek island. A strong feminist who also has a zany and vulnerable side. Principal role. Strong rock belt with a great low range and terrific high belt to C#.

[SAM] (35-45) Male, 5'10" & up. May be Sophie's father. Left Donna 20 years ago because he was engaged to another woman. Charming, handsome, successful architect. Actor who sings. Principal role. High rock baritone to Ab.

[DYNAMO UNDERSTUDIES] (30's) Females with great pop voices, comedic skills and move well to be in the ensemble and understudy the Dynamos (DONNA, ROSIE). Ensemble roles.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please prepare 16 bars of a pop/rock song that was not written for a musical from the 70s-today in the style of the show. You may sing from the show. If you would like to prepare sides/music from the show in advance, please visit the official casting website for further details. Callbacks will be held the following day; if called back, you will be asked to prepare material.
