Lesley Gore, famous for originating such hits as "It's My Party" and "You Don't Own Me," has joined the cast of "Rockers On Broadway: Jersey Style," which will take place on Monday January 29, 2007 at 8:00pm at BB King Blues Club & Grill (237 West 42nd Street).

"It is our mission to bring together the worlds of Rock 'n' Roll and Broadway in a unique way, while supporting inspirational charities including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and Wingspan Arts, Inc.," says creator Donnie Kehr.  The evening will be presented by Cori Gardner and Good To Go Entertainment

"Rockers On Broadway" was founded by Donnie Kehr in 1993 during the Broadway run of The Who's Tommy, in which he appeared. Inspired by an idea from Pete Townshend, he wanted to give musical theatre performers the opportunity to experience the feeling of singing with a rock band in a concert style venue, so they could understand and transfer the rawness of that edge to the stage.

The evening is sponsored by Sara Lee, Macy's and The Frye Company, and will be hosted by actress/comedian, Caroline Rhea, star of "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" and NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser."

Headlining this edition of "Rockers" are Micky Dolenz from The Monkees, the 4 leads from Broadway's smash hit, Jersey BoysDaniel Reichard, J. Robert Spencer and 2006 Tony winners John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff, along with country star Larry Gatlin, singer songwriter Kate Taylor and '60s favorites, The Tokens, performing their smash hit "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".  Other Broadway artists scheduled to appear at press time include:
