Cassie Steck Worley has resigned as Artistic Director of Le Petit Theatre to pursue other opportunities. She joined the board in 2007 and became president in 2010. It was during her tenure as board president that Le Petit survived the most difficult financial period in the theatre's history, retiring a major debt and overseeing the theatre's recent major renovation and partial building sale to the Dickie Brennan Restaurant Group. Cassie joined the theatre's staff full-time last year and was instrumental in mounting a very successful first season and launching our current season.

"The Board of Governors of Le Petit Theatre is profoundly grateful to Cassie Worley for her tireless work in support of the theatre, including her leadership through the theatre's most difficult challenge to date," said Board President Bruce Hoefer. "We will always be indebted to Cassie for her years of devotion and service to Le Petit. Her joy and love of the theatre and her artistic vision will be extremely hard to replace."

Board Member Leon Contavesprie has been named interim artistic director and a search will begin for a full-time artistic director. Work has already begun on the theatre's second production this season, Peter and the Starcatcher, which runs Nov. 7 -23.
