The Emerging Artists Group is proud to present the family-friendly musical Little Women. Louisa May Alcott's classic tale comes to life with music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein and book by Allan Knee. Performances will take place at Highland Baptist Church beginning January 9th, running through January 12th.

This musical version of Alcott's timeless coming-of-age story premiered on Broadway in 2005, offering a familiar yet fresh glimpse into the lives of the four young March sisters in Civil War-era America. At its heart is the tomboyish Jo; fueled by a vibrant imagination and unabashed enthusiasm, she challenges social conventions with her aspirations of becoming a professional writer. As years pass, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy come to cherish the importance of family, friendship and faith in oneself.

Founding Director, Elizabeth Huling- an award-winning New York Broadway performer and director- has used her expertise to mentor a "dream team" of young performers. Under the direction of newcomer Phillip Garrett, these young performers have choreographed, painted sets, sewn costumes, and put together a magnificent production. With performers ranging in ages from 14-27, numerous high schools and colleges are represented, showcasing talent from Louisville, Shelbyville, and Southern Indiana.

Join us for six-performances of the beautiful, family-friendly musical. Tickets are $15 and available at the door, or you can call (502) 644-6671 to make your reservations today.
