LAByrinth Theater Company has annoucned that LABPASS® for the 2006-07 season is now onsale. The 15th anniversary season, continuing LAByrinth's residence at The Public Theater, will also include LAB's annual free play reading festival, The Barn Series. LAByrinth Artistic Directors Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz will take the stage this season along with Company Members Carlo Alban, Eric Bogosian, Andrea Ciannavei, Beth Cole, and Daphne Rubin-Vega. Joining them will be special guest artists Elliott Sharp and Isiah Whitlock, Jr. More casting will be announced.
LABPASS offers exclusive access and 15% savings to LAByrinth's 15th Anniversary Season. For only $136 plus a $5 processing fee, LABPASS holders prepay for a ticket to four of the season's five productions and have the opportunity to reserve a seat to before tickets go on sale to the public.

In Fall of 2006, the company will present A Small, Melodramatic Story by Stephen Belber. The production, directed by Lucie Tiberghien, will feature Carlo Alban, Ron Cephas Jones, Chris McGarry and Portia. "A woman named O falls in love with a cop named Perry. When O's archivist friend, Keith, discovers secrets about Perry's past, O is caught in a trap: How much does she want to know?" state press notes.
Philip Seymour Hoffman and
Daphne Rubin-Vega will lead the cast of
Jack Goes Boating, by Bob Glaudini, directed by
Peter Dubois. The cast will also feature Beth Cole and
John Ortiz; it will premiere in winter 2007 as a special limited engagement. "Swimming lessons. Cooking classes. A random subway attack. Confessions of betrayal. Cocaine paranoia. A best friend's meltdown. How much is too much for a date with someone you've just met?"
This Is Now, written and performed by
Eric Bogosian, will be a collaboration with Elliott Sharp. It will be seen in winter 2007 as a special limited engagement. "Bogosian supplies the words and Sharp provides the sounds in an eighty minute excursion rant/soundscape on the theme of 'now.' Bogosian hits on smoking, sainthood and the CIA while Sharp trips out on guitar, sax, temple bells and cyber-sound."
The company will present several developmental productions including Carlo Alban's
Intríngulis, directed by David Anzuelo. It will also be seen in winter of 2007. "Novelist, sniper, television personality, delinquent youth. Window washer, tourist, Beelzebub, idealist youth. Vigilante, rock star wannabe, minuteman, apolitical youth. Illegal immigrant. These are the people in your neighborhood."
Andrea Ciannavei's
Pretty Chin Up, directed by Michele Chivu, will be presented in spring of 2007. "What's the difference between an overweight marketing executive who sells women's lingerie and diet pills and the starving spokesmodel who peddles the goods for the camera? About 100 pounds."
With the Barn Series, LAByrinth Theater Company will host its annual collection of staged readings from exciting up-and-coming playwrights as well as established writers. All readings are free and open to the public. Reservations are required. They will be presented in December of 2006.
