Variety reports exclusively that Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2017 ACADEMY AWARDS. The late night host has served as emcee of several major awards shows in the past including the 2012 and 2016 Emmy Awards

He has also taken on hosting duties for the 2007 ESPYS and THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS on ABC five times. This will mark the first time he will emcee the Oscars.

The 89th ACADEMY AWARDS will be presented live on ABC on February 26, 2017. Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd will produce this year's show.

Jimmy Kimmel serves as host and executive producer of Emmy nominated "Jimmy Kimmel Live," ABC's late-night talk show.
