Josh Radnor to Host SPACE on Ryder Farm's 'Farm in the City' Gala

SPACE on Ryder Farm, a non-profit artist residency program located an hour north of New York City, is hosting their first annual Farm in the City gala. The event features a farm-to-table dinner, performances from six seasons of SPACE-developed work, and a live auction. The gala will take place on Monday, October 24th at 7 p.m. at Sun West Studios, 450 W. 31st Street, NYC.

The event will be hosted by Josh Radnor with additional performances from Grace McLean, Monica Bill Barnes & Co., Isaac Oliver, Eliza Bent and more.

Notable attendees expected to appear include Michael Chernus, Carrie Coon, Patch Darragh, Dane DeHaan, Dan LeFranc, Marsha Norman, Bruce Norris, Max Posner, Holley Fain, Adam Rapp, Micah Stock, Anna Wood, Tracy Letts, Rachel Brosnahan, Jason Ralph, Phillipa Soo and more.

Josh Radnor has written, directed and starred in two feature films, LIBERAL ARTS and HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE, both of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, the latter winning the 2010 Audience Award for Favorite U.S. Drama. He starred on CBS's Emmy-nominated comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER for nine-seasons and recently finished filming the second season of the PBS Civil War hospital drama, MERCY STREET, which returns in January of 2017.

Founded in 2011, SPACE is a non-profit artist residency program located an hour north of New York City on the grounds of Ryder Farm, a 220-year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York. Founded in 2011, SPACE on Ryder Farm creates an environment singular in its ability to invigorate artists and innovators and their work, and contributes to the sustainability and resourceful preservation of one of the oldest organic family farms on the East Coast.

Concluding its sixth season, SPACE has become a place where artists and activists come to do their most important work. SPACE has hosted over 1000 residents, held symposia on the intersection of creativity and activism, piloted a program to provide childcare for resident artists with the Lilly Awards Foundation, developed initiatives that integrate SPACE's programming and the organic farming operation and nurtured 40 young professionals through our intern program. Notable SPACE alumni include Rob Askins, Clare Barron, Adam Bock, Sarah Burgess, John Early, Halley Feiffer, Santino Fontana, Daisy Foote, Betty Gilpin, Joshua Harmon, Sam Hunter, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Dan LeFranc, James Lescene, Judith Light, Grace McLean, Adam Rapp, Mfoniso Udofia, and many more!

Additionally, SPACE, located in Brewster, NY, has hosted institutional residencies in partnership with Playwrights Horizons, The Public Theater, Ars Nova, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Soho Rep., and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.
