Canton Theatrical will present a special staged reading of Damon Intrabartolo's PLOP, with music supervision by Ethan Popp ("SMASH", Motown, Rock of Ages) and directed by Anthony J. Cantalupo. PLOP will be performed on Monday, May 7th, 2012 at 1:00pm and 5:00pm.

The reading stars Drew Lachey (98*, "Dancing with the Stars" Champion) as Milque Toast, Tom Alan Robbins (The Lion King) as Larry Pearl, and John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Tony Nominee) as Max A. Million.

When Larry Pearl, an emotionally bankrupt record producer, meets a musically talented group of boys, an idea is born-one that will change the world of pop music forever. With the help of has-been record producer Max A. Million, Larry creates the first ever "boy band", CRaWL.

But, the success of CRaWL is just the beginning. Larry and Max create teenage girl sensations and a television show. Eventually amassing total world domination and industrialization of pop culture.

The reading features music supervision by Ethan Popp ("SMASH", Motown, Rock of Ages), vocal arrangements by Ethan Popp & Bryan Crook/Special Guest Music Productions. Rob J. Killenberger is the sound engineer and Matt DiCarlo is the production stage manager.
