Jersey Boys' Daniel Reichard Performs in NJ, May 22

The Arts Council of Keansburg has announced that Daniel Reichard, currently starring as Bob Gaudio in Broadway's Jersey Boys, will perform in a special concert at Joseph C. Caruso School in Keansburg, New Jersey on Monday, May 22nd. Reichard is the first performer in the council's new concert series, in which proceeds directly benefit the newly formed organization. Jersey Boys marks Reichard's Broadway debut. He has previously been seen on New York stages in Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration, Radiant Baby at the Public Theater, and The Thing About Men. He created  the role of Bob Gaudio at the La Jolla Playhouse. Jersey Boys, written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, is playing at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue). The show is the story of FrankieValli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli ( John Lloyd Young), Bob Gaudio (Reichard), Tommy DeVito ( Christian Hoff) and Nick Massi ( J. Robert Spencer). "This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty," state press notes. A cast recording is now available on Rhino Records. Detroit Engagement of JERSEY BOYS Sets Box Office Record
The Detroit engagement of JERSEY BOYS set a new box office record at the Fisher Theatre for the week ending Sunday, December 27. The show grossed $1,251,618.00, breaking the previous record of $1,225,511 held by Spamalot in December 2006.
