Jerry Ford's HOPE to Open Off-Broadway at Producer's Club; Previews Begin. 9/25

Fueled By Life Media Group has announced that HOPE, Jerry Ford's emotionally charged new drama about overcoming adversity through the use of martial arts, will begin previews on Wednesday, September 25th at 8PM and run through October 10th at the Producers Club, 358 West 44th St. The production will have its official opening on Monday, September 30th at 7PM. Turron Kofi Alleyne directs.

In a swift 60-minutes of pure HOPE, Jerry Ford morphs into several dynamic characters to tell the riveting story of his battle for success in life, on and off the streets. His childhood spent in a violent part of Detroit, witness to his brother and best friend's deaths, and forced to face his own uncertain future after arrest, Ford uses a world class martial arts education to ignite an internal fight for survival.

HOPE features sound design by Mat Leonard, lighting design by Daniel O'Brien, costume design by Clara Williams and choreography by Jerry Ford; the stage manager is Reginald Tucker.

Jerry Ford is a Detroit, MI native residing in New York as a working actor, writer & martial artist. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he received a BFA in Theater/TV. His one-man show "Hope," based on his life, has been featured at a variety of colleges and universities, local theaters in Detroit and motivational retreats. He is also known for his martial arts skills, winning multiple gold medals in the Junior Olympics, U.S. Open and other national tournaments. His martial arts styles include: Tae Kwon Do, Wushu, Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Wing Chun, Muay Thai and Gymnastics. Jerry is currently finishing his first book, an autobiography, entitled "From One Road to the Next." In early 2013, he performed a successful run of his one man show "Hope" and shortly after took the production to the Clark Studio Theater in Lincoln Center. His Film/Television credits include: All My Children, Homecoming, Divine Rite, Monumental Mysteries (as Muhammad Ali), Person of Interest and Onion Sports Dome. Jerry's stage credits include: Deadly She-Wolf Assassin at Armageddon, Hope, Hamlet, Othello and The Brothers Size.

Performances of HOPE are on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:00pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:00pm. Two special weekend performances will be on Friday, September 27th @ 8:00pm and Saturday, September 28th @ 3:00pm. The production continues until October 10th.
