Jay-Z and Robin Thicke are the Kings of Music in the UK for this week. Billboard is reporting that Jay-Z landed the number 1 album spot for his latest release 'Magna Carta...Holy Grail.' Meanwhile, R&B crooner Robin Thicke climbed back to the top of the singles chart for his song 'Blurred Lines.'

It was the first time Jay-Z hit the top spot for albums in the UK, his highest position before this was number 4 for 2009's 'The Blueprint III.' This was a full eight years after the original 'Blueprint' brought Jay-Z onto the UK album charts. The lead single, 'Holy Grail', from 'Magna Carta' has opened at 24 on the charts but is expected to make a strong climb in the coming weeks.

Rod Stewart fell back to take the No.2 spot with 'Time' and Passenger rounded out the top 3 with 'All the Little Lights' with its hit single 'Let Her Go' enjoyed another week in the top 10 singles charts.

'To Be Loved' by Michael Buble fell from 2-4 and Mumford & Sons' 'Babel' fell from number 1 to 5. Bruno Mars' 'Unorthodox Jukebox' made the rise from 10-8. Daft Punk also rose from 13-10. While the top 40 singles charts contained nothing new except for Jay-Z, Jamie Cullum's 'Momentum' made a sharp rise from 137-40 following Andy Murray's Wimbledon victory. The song was used in a highlight package showing Murray's tournament victory.

Thicke's single enjoyed three weeks at Number 1 but fell to number 2 last week due to John Newman's 'Love Me Again.' The songs swapped spots again this week with Thicke taking over again.

Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia, Tommy Trash and John Martin collaborated to make 'Reload' which hits the charts at No.3. British band Lawson came in at 6 with 'Brokenhearted' and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea opened at No. 13 with her single 'Bounce.'
