JEKYLL AND HYDE's Teal Wicks to Make Solo Debut at 54 Below, 5/8

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Teal Wicks on Thursday, May 8th at 9:30 PM. Broadway star of Wicked (Elphaba) and Jekyll and Hyde (Emma Carew), Wicks brings a night of songs inspired by folk, rock, soul and blues to 54 Below, with an acoustic set led by the visionary Jasper Grant (musical director of The Color Purple, Altar Boyz). Join her for a reimagining of works from Janis Joplin, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin and more of the musical storytellers that have inspired Wicks on her journeys from coast to coast. It will be a night celebrating the spirit of the underdogs, survivors, troubadours, seekers, lovers and dreamers.

Wicks burst onto the musical theater scene in 2008 when she snagged the role of Elphaba in the Los Angeles company of Wicked, a role she reprised in the San Francisco company before making the leap to Broadway in 2011. Other notable credits include Emma Carew in the 2013 Broadway revival of Jekyll & Hyde, belle époque musical The Blue Flower Off-B'way at 2nd Stage and at Boston's A.R.T, the critically acclaimed production of Carousel at Goodspeed Opera House, Pippin on tour and at Goodspeed, and the New York City Center Encores! production of Stairway to Paradise.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 BELOW is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. Located at 254 West 54th Street, 54 BELOW features up to three shows nightly with cover charges ranging from $15-$95.
