Izzard Set for 'United States of Tara'

According to a report by Deadline.com, Eddie Izzard, who recently starred in the Broadway production of Race, is set to join the third season of Showtime's 'United Sates of Tara'.  Though details on his character remain unknown, Izzard will appear in more than one episode.

Izzard's works include stand-up sets Unrepeatable, Definite Article, Eddie Izzard)" href="/wiki/Glorious_(Eddie_Izzard)">Glorious, Dress to Kill, Eddie Izzard)" href="/wiki/Circle_(Eddie_Izzard)">Circle, Sexie and Eddie Izzard)" href="/wiki/Stripped_(Eddie_Izzard)">Stripped. He had a starring role in the television series The Riches as Wayne Malloy and has appeared in many motion pictures such as Ocean's Twelve, Ocean's Thirteen, Mystery Men, The Cat's Meow, Across the Universe, and Valkyrie.

UNITED STATES OF TARA stars Toni Collette, in her Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) winning role as Tara, a woman who juggles being a suburban wife, mother and sister while also having DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Dave Finkel and Brett Baer and created and executive produced by Academy(R) Award winner Diablo Cody, the series delves into how a family copes with the various personalities that may appear on any given day, including "Buck," a gun-toting Vietnam vet and "Alice," a Betty Crocker homemaker who thinks baking is the answer to all problems. John Corbett also stars as "Max" her supportive husband who tries to keep the family together and "Kate" (Brie Larson) and "Marshall" (Keir Gilchrist) are her children who just wish their mother was a bit more "normal."
