The New York Athletic Club (180 Central Park South) will go green when the Irish Arts Center holds its annual gala on Friday, October 7th at 7 PM.

Hosted by comedian Eddie Brill, the evening will feature celebrities such as Kim Cattrall ("Sex and the City," Whose Life is It Anyway? in London) and Gabriel Byrne, who received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the 2000 revival of A Moon for the Misbegotten and will next return to the Great White Way this December in another play by Eugene O'Neill--A Touch of the Poet.  He is also one of the producers of the Irish Arts Center's current play The Blowin' of Baile Gail and serves on its board of directors.

An auction will offer up original artwork by movie star Pierce Brosnan, dinner with stage and screen actor Liam Neeson (Tony Award-nominee for The Crucible and Anna Christie) and dinner with Byrne.  In addition, author Pete Hamill will bestow awards on Hotel Rwanda filmmaker Terry George and on the business world's Andrew Breslin.

Tickets to the gala, which are $300, are available by calling 212-758-3318, ext. 203.
