LML Music is excited to announce the release of "Shades of Blue," a new recording from singer Harold Sanditen. Sanditen recorded "Shades of Blue" live at The Pheasantry, London UK in November 2012, supported by Michael Roulston on Piano and Backup Vocals, Dave Olney on Double Bass, Paul Merser on Drums and Percussion, Bob Sydor on Tenor Sax, Clarinet and Flute and Steve Bentley-Klein on Violin, Trumpet and Flugelhorn.
"Shades of Blue" is a smooth mesh of jazz-cabaret, filled with diverse material that allowed Sanditen to explore his fascination with the word "blue" - from music and sound to color... and naughty to nice. Tunes like Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies" are comfortable on the disc with companions like Stevie Nicks "Landlside," Jobim's "No More Blues," and "The Waters of March" as well a ditty titled "Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me."
A song and dance man in high school and college musicals, Sanditen began performing professionally in 2008 after a successful twenty-year career as an international theater producer, and a three-year stint as an investment banker in New York City. A colleague from Wharton, where Sanditen received his MBA, introduced him to the world of New York City cabaret in 2006 while he was in town producing a play, and he was smitten with the genre.
Sanditen released his debut CD, "Taking Flight," in 2010. Quickly, he was performing at The Duplex, Don't Tell Mama and The Metropolitan Room in New York, Pizza on the Park, The Pheasantry and Crazy Coqs in London, where incidentally, Sanditen hosts a new open mic weekly.
"Shades of Blue" (LML) is available through LMLMusic.com, iTunes, Amazon.com, and many other traditional and online retailers.
