HAl Holbrook brings his much acclaimed one-man show "Mark Twain Tonight" to Marin Center for one unforgettable performance. Begun as a college honors project, Holbrook first performed solo as Mark Twain in 1954. In 1959 a refined version of his show opened off-Broadway to immediate acclaim. The New Yorker proclaimed it "Uncanny. A dazzling display of virtuosity." Life Magazine opined "One of the Treasures of the American Theatre." The show won an Obie Award in 1959, followed by a Tony Award and Drama Critic's Circle Award in 1966.

With the public and popular press suitably impressed, professional acclaim followed. The show won an Obie Award in 1959, followed by a Tony Award and Drama Critic's Circle Award in 1966. The performance will be on Saturday, November 22 at 8pm at the Marin Veteran's Memorial Auditorium, Avenue of the Flags at Civic Center Drive in San Rafael. Tickets are $25, $40, and $45, with premium seats
