Below is a list of projects that will be produced and/or are under consideration for Firehouse Theatre's 2017/18 Season. It's the 24th season - A SEASON OF POSSIBILITIES.

Firehouse will be continuing its practice of programming work in three series -- FIREHOUSE PLAYS, FIREHOUSE FRINGE, and FIREHOUSE STUDIO.

Firehouse Theatre 2017/18 Season 24: A SEASON OF POSSIBILITIES

POSSIBILITIES: Something that may happen or be chosen or done out of several alternatives. Synonyms: chance, likelihood, probability, hope, option, alternative, choice, course of action.

FIREHOUSE PLAYS

Based on the 1980's cult movie favorite, our summer blockbuster is HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, directed by Debra Clinton, in partnership with TheatreLAB. Performances begin June 2017.

World premiere of Firehouse Artist-in-Residence Bo Wilson's new play FOOD, CLOTHING, AND SHELTER, directed by Joel Bassin. Performances begin September 2017.

DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS, Eugene O'Neill's searing tale of passion and betrayal, directed by Josh Chenard. Performances begin October 2017.

The world premiere of Richmond composer Walter Braxton's opera TO DAMASCUS, directed by Joel Bassin, in partnership with Capitol Opera Richmond. Performances begin January 2018.

An aviatrix confronts her final stunt in the haunting chamber musical WINGS, directed by Adam B. Ferguson. Performances begin February 2018

Director Mark Lerman explores the relationship between reality and illusion in Tim Crouch's AN OAK TREE. Performances begin March 2018

Spin or fact? THE EXTREMISTS, by C.J. Hopkins, directed by Todd Labelle. Spring/summer 2018.

GHOST QUARTET and PRELUDES -- two stunning new musicals by Dave Malloy, creator of the hit Broadway show NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. Spring/summer 2018.

FIREHOUSE FRINGE and FIREHOUSE STUDIO projects include Aura Curiatlas Physical Theatre's DREAM LOGIC and A LIFE WITH NO LIMITS (June 2017); a new musical from Dreamers Theater (July 2017); ALICE -- a contemporary new musical based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, directed by Adam B. Ferguson - in partnership with TheatreLAB (August 2017); magicians galore; topical new plays based on Richmond headlines by Bo Wilson and Firehouse Working Group; K Dance's YES! Dance Invitational (December 2017); more Hamiltunes RVA; new work from RVA playwright Doug Jones; Dory Previn's MARY C.
