During the newest episode of Meet the Movie Press (via MCUExchange), co-host Simon Thompson discussed his recent interview with HAMILTON creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is currently in London working on Disney's MARY POPPINS RETURNS.

During the interview, Miranda revealed that he is interested in joining the popular Marvel Comics Universe, taking on the role of Spider-Man villain 'Carnage.' Said Thompson, "He is a big fan of Marvel and there is one particular character that he would actually like to play. It's Carnage. He said if Disney and Marvel were looking at doing a Maximum Carnage movie or bringing Carnage in (the MCU) as a character, he wants to be Carnage. Genuinely as a fan, he would love to play Carnage. That's a goal of his."

In recent years, Miranda has developed a strong relationship with Walt Disney Studios, which acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009. In addition to the Mary Poppins reboot, he penned original music for both Disney's MOANA, and the most recent episode of the STAR WARS saga. Coming up, the Tony Award winner will compose music for a live-action THE LITTLE MERMAID for Disney and recently hinted at a secret project for the House of Mouse.

What do you think of the idea of Lin-Manuel Miranda as a Marvel villain?
