Rock & Soul sensation Gary Clark Jr. was nominated for two 2013 Grammy Awards on Friday night, December 6th: "Best Rock Song" for "Ain't Messin' Round" and "Best Traditional R&B Performance" for "Please Come Home." Both tracks appear on Clark's debut album for Warner Bros. Records, Blak And Blu. These are the Austin native's first-ever Grammy Award nominations and also the first time in Grammy history that a single artist has been nominated in both categories simultaneously. Prestigious nominations such as these further underscore the fact that the music of Gary Clark Jr. speaks to people who simply love music, regardless of genre, classification or categorization. From the onset, Clark's intent was to craft an album that could be gracefully embraced by music fans looking for something that sounded both familiar and fresh at once.

Clark released Blak And Blu, in October of 2012, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at No. 6 and received raves from many major music outlets, including The New York Times, which called Clark "a guitarist of deep magnetism and tremendous feel," and Spin, which declared: "There truly is nobody else like him around." Most recently, Rolling Stone Magazine dubbed Clark, "The Chosen One."

Clark has enjoyed an extraordinary year which found him transitioning from small clubs to his first sold-out tour of theaters across the nation, dominating late night TV and performing and /or recording with cultural icons such as Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Roots, Booker T. Jones, Alicia Keys, The Dream, and others. Click here to view Clark's road to the Grammy's.

The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, January 26th, 2014, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
