The 39th Daytime Emmy awards took place yesterday, June 23. Top honors for Drama Series went to ABC's General Hospital and its leading man Anthony Geary. General Hospital's Jonathan Jackson and Nancy Lee Grahn also took the awards for Best Supporting Actor/Actress in a Drama Series.

Outside the drama category, NBC's The Today Show scooped up a win for Best Morning Show. Syndicated programs Live With Regis and Kelly and The Doctor Oz Show won for Best Talk Show, and Jeopardy! took home the win for game show.

Held in Beverly Hills, Calif., the 2012 Daytime Emmy Awards aired on the HLN channel. The awards are presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
