The highly-anticipated Free Summer Concert Series is back on the Upper West Side, heating up Lincoln Square this July and August with outdoor concerts at Richard Tucker Park. Music lovers are invited to bring lunch, join friends and enjoy performances by a diverse mix of New York City's most talented and eclectic musicians and singers. Plus, in addition to great music, YogaWorks will be holding free restorative stretch sessions in between music sets for people looking for a lunch time cool down.

The Lincoln Square Free Summer Concert Series at Richard Tucker Park will be held every Wednesday from July 4 until August 29, from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Broadway and 66th Street.

This weekly series of free lunch time performances is presented by the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Arts for Transit's Music Under New York (MUNY) program. Through these live performances at Richard Tucker Park, New York City celebrates the diversity of music and cultures and the great opera star, tenor Richard Tucker (1913-1975) who worked as a cantor before joining the Metropolitan Opera for a long and distinguished career.

The Lincoln Square BID is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization whose mission is to make Lincoln Square cleaner, safer, and more beautiful, and to undertake various improvement projects. Efforts are focused on supplemental sanitation and security services; the beautification of public spaces, malls, and parks; and the promotion and marketing of the area's diverse business and cultural offerings. Music Under New York is one of many visual and performing arts programs administered by MTA Arts for Transit - a division of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. For over 20 years, MUNY has provided customers in the transit system with daily music performances. At present, more than 350 soloists and groups participate in MUNY providing over 7,500 annual performances at 30 locations throughout the transit system.
