Fitz and The Tantrums will be rocking the party tomorrow as "The Ellen Degeneres Show" celebrates its host's birthday. The band will be performing "The Walker," a song that's already made a big impression on DeGeneres, who is once again hosting The Oscars®. She handpicked the song for the trailer that launched The Oscars' "Here We Go" promotional campaign. ("Here we go" is a phrase that figures prominently in the song's chorus.) The clip, which was directed by Paul Feig ("Bridesmaids," "The Heat") and choreographed by Stephen "tWitch" Boss, features DeGeneres and 200 tuxedo-clad men and women dancing to "The Walker" on the Warner Bros. backlot.

It can be viewed here.

The band's official video for "The Walker" also tells a Hollywood story. Lensed by director Warren Kommers, it begins at, of all places, the line at the DMV, and includes a frenetic trip through the streets of Hollywood. The clip can be seen here. "The Walker" - from Fitz and The Tantrums' latest album, More Than Just a Dream (Elektra Records) - is going to radio now.

Fitz and The Tantrums will tape an episode of the public television show "Live from the Artists Den" in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 5, and will perform on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on March 3. The band will headline the Hollywood Palladium on April 5 and kick off a North American headline tour on May 4 in Bloomington, IN. While on the road, they will also perform at the Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival in Gulf Shores, AL (May 16-18) and the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City (June 6-8).

Fitz and The Tantrums have been living their own Hollywood dream from the beginning. The band - comprised of Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass) - played their first show in December 2008 at Hotel Café in their hometown of Hollywood, CA. Their self-released 2009 EPSongs for a Breakup, Vol. 1 attracted the attention of many, including KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" and a New York City tattoo artist who played the EP for client Adam Levine. A week and a half after the tattoo session, Fitz and The Tantrums were opening for Maroon 5. The band's full-length debut, Pickin' Up the Pieces, spent 73 weeks on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, peaking at No. 1. Views for the video for the hit single "MoneyGrabber" climbed into the millions and the band was named a "You Oughta Know" artist by VH1.

The 2013 release of More Than Just a Dream - produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83, Depeche Mode, Phoenix) - ratcheted things up several notches. "Out Of My League," the album's first single, hit No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and was one of only eight songs to top the chart in 2013.

The official video, which was directed by Jordan Bahat (fun., Grouplove), has racked up more than three million views to date.

In between tour dates, Fitz and The Tantrums have performed on a slew of television shows, including "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Conan." In October of 2013, the band made its first appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," thereby setting the wheels in motion for "The Walker" being tapped for the Oscar trailer.
