First Annual Cabaret Festival Runs from Oct. 21 to 23

In its inaugural year, the First Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival will feature some of Broadway's brightest stars performing at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd St.) from October 21st to 23rd.

Hosted by producer/writer Scott Siegel (Broadway by the Year), the festival's first evening will boast performances from Elaine Stritch (Sail Away, Company), Brent Barrett (Grand Hotel, Chicago) Ann Reinking (Dancin,' Chicago), Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll and Hyde) and Jim Caruso (Jim Caruso's Cast Party); they will pay tribute to the great songwriting team at 8 PM in Life is a Cabaret: A Tribute to Kander and Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago, Zorba, Kiss of the Spiderwoman).  On the second evening, the two Tony-nominated stars from Taboo and Mamma Mia! respectively will do what the title says in Euan Morton & Louise Pitre Sing Broadway!; their cabaret will be held on October 22nd at 8 PM. 

On the concluding evening, Broadway Originals will feature Siegel hosting an evening of songs performed by the stars who originated them in a number of musicals.  Lined up to perform are Karen Akers (Nine, Grand Hotel), Stephen Bogardus (Falsettos), Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon), Michael Cerveris (Assassins), Chuck Cooper (The Life), Debbie Gravitte (Jerome Robbins' Broadway), Annie Golden (Hair, Assassins), Sam Harris (The Life), Liz Larsen (The Most Happy Fella),  Austin Pendleton (Fiddler on the Roof) and Emily Skinner (Side Show, The Full Monty).
