Exclusive: Dan and Laura Curtis Announce Two Charity Singles With Broadway Performers BroadwayWorld is pleased to exclusively announce that Dan and Laura Curtis, who previously made headlines with their Ratatouille musical concept video, are back in the studio in New York City working with Broadway talents Adam Pascal, Katie Rose Clarke, and Chris McCarrell.

Proceeds from the singles will benefit Broadway Cares and UNICEF.

BroadwayWorld has exclusive photos from inside the recording studio sessions. The Curtis' also spoke exclusively to BroadwayWorld about being back in NYC and their new project.

Tell us about the songs and artists that you have been working with in NYC?

We are excited to be working on two new singles. The first is a song called 'Now You're Here' which is a duet with Broadway stars Katie Rose Clarke (Wicked/Allegiance) and Chris McCarrell (Les Miserables) which will be released on 10/24/15. We had always wanted to write a duet and didn't get the chance to record one for our album. 'Now You're Here' has a modern Disney feel and carries the classic theme of 'love'. Chris and Katie's voices blend wonderfully on this ballad. Working with both of these very talented performs has been wonderful and we are delighted to donate part of the song's profits to Broadway Cares.

Adam Pascal, the Broadway Legend from (Rent, Chess, Memphis), will be the one recording our second song. The song will be officially fundraising money for UNICEF. The song's release date will be announced at a different time. The song, 'Everyone Can Help Someone', will be have its release date announced shortly. The song has a rock feel and carries a very important message about how we can all make a difference for the good to World we live in.

In 2016 a separate version of the song will be released which will feature over twenty different artists from across the World forming the completed track. Work is underway and last week it was announced that YouTube star Nick Pitera has recorded vocals for the track and joins the previously announced winner of Britain's Got Talent Jai McDowall. Daniel and Laura have been keen to work with artists from all styles of music and spread the key central message to as wide an audience as possible.

How does it feel to be back in New York recording?

We love New York City and our last album 'Love on 42nd Street' took inspiration from the City. We record a good portion of our music in New York City. For us, there is nowhere like it in the world. There is such life and energy within this city. It is wonderful to come and be a part of it. Each recording holds special value to us. We are looking forward to having a long stay to the city in 2016.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects?

We have recently signed with our manager Stacy Swain, who has been keeping us very active with our songs have recorded over the past few months, upcoming concerts, as well as aiding us in our expansion into composing for the film and television industry where we are actively speaking with several companies about some truly fascinating projects that are under development or being considered for the future.

Today is also special as we are announcing that we just signed with Abrams Artists Agency here in New York City. We are very excited to be working with our management and agency on multiple projects we have taking place for 2016. We look forward to sharing details of new songs, as well as a concept for a musical biopic. The initial ideas are incredibly exciting and we will be able to say more about this in the coming months.

We look forward to our newly formed fundraising relationship with Unicef, and the releases of these and other songs to come in 2016. We love to write music and continue to work within different genre in our music composition. In fact, we just wrote a song for the A Capella group Voice Play. We have some other interesting music collaborations set for 2016 as well.

Which artists would you like to work with in the future?

That is a question that remains so very open ended. There is so much talent in the music world. We have been so very fortunate to recorded with so many gifted artists. Some of those we are hoping to work with in the future are: Audra McDonald, Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Hudson and Matthew Morrison.

We are honored to have the opportunity to work within the theatre community of New York City. Musical theatre is very dear to our hearts and to combine that with the passion that we carry for New York City, it truly provides for something wonderful to be involved in. We look forward to many more collaborations.

"Now You're Here" featuring Katie Rose Clarke and Chris McCarrell will be released October 24th. Check BroadwayWorld for more soon!
