Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have hired Elizabeth Rothman as Director of Play Development for Manhattan Theatre Club.

Rothman worked at MTC for three years in the Artistic Development office, which she will now head. She was hired by Lynne Meadow as a summer intern and returned as Literary Assistant after her graduation from Brown University, where she won the Steinfield Award for the highest achievement in Theatre Arts. She was later promoted to Associate Director of Artistic Development. In the interim, she served as Head of Creative Development for Theatre for Tobey Maguire's Material Pictures. Rothman returns to a department that includes Jerry Patch as Artistic Development Consultant and Scott Kaplan who has been named Literary Manager. Rothman will also serve as Manhattan Theatre Club's Sloan Project Manager.

"I am thrilled that Elizabeth will be playing a major role at Manhattan Theatre Club," said Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director. "I am looking forward to working with her in her new capacity. I respect and admire her and am delighted that she will be back with us working on programming and development."
