Joan Didion and Vanessa Redgrave will be featured on NPR's "Morning Edition" on Thursday, February 8 discussing The Year of Magical Thinking with host Renee Montagne.  The segment will air twice, at 6:50AM and 8:50AM in New York City on WNYC 820AM and 93.9FM.  (Check local listings for "Morning Edition" broadcast details outside of New York.  The Magical Thinking segment airs at 50 minutes past the even-numbered hours.)

The Year of Magical Thinking, written by Joan Didion based on her memoir, starring Vanessa Redgrave, and directed by David Hare, begins performances at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) on March 6 for a strictly limited 24-week run.  Opening Night is March 29.

"In The Year of Magical Thinking, Vanessa Redgrave relives an almost unfathomably shocking period in Joan Didion's life.  Capturing the compassion, humor, and stark bewilderment of a fiercely intelligent woman whose world lurches suddenly from the ordinary to the unimaginable, The Year of Magical Thinking is a love letter to a child and a tribute to an extraordinary, unconventional marriage, told with raw candor and a brilliant storyteller's gift for the absurd," according to press materials.

Vanessa Redgrave is appearing with the permission of Actors' Equity Association.

Tickets for The Year of Magical Thinking are available by calling www.Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200, (800) 432-7250 outside the NY metro area, online at Telecharge.com, and at the Booth Theatre box office (222 West 45th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue).
