"Desperate Housewives" star Gale Harold has been released from the intensive care unit at a Los Angeles hospital and is improving daily after a motorcycle accident last week.

The actor's representatives, Nancy Seltzer and Associates, said "a full recovery is expected" and the actor "thanks everyone for their good wishes".

Harold was treated in the USC Medical Center for swelling of the brain and a fractured shoulder.

Gale Harold plays Teri Hatcher's boyfriend on the ABC drama "Desperate Houswives". He has also been seen in "Queer as Folk", "Grey's Anatomy" and in Roundabout Theatre's production of Suddenly Last Summer.

Objection to "has been seen in"

It just sounds so dismissive. In the brilliant Showtime drama, QUEER as FOLK, Gale was the Lead...the Star...the Sun around which all planets circled...the main reason the show is so addicting...Ok, Ok, enough said. Just immensely happy to hear he's doing better. :D
