Def Jam's 30th Anniversary Concert Set for Tonight at Barclays Center

Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, DMX, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Jhené Aiko, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Warren G, EPMD, and Jeremih have all been confirmed to perform during the historic, one-night-only Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert. The all-star event will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn tonight, October 16.

The event, which will encompass all 30 years of Def Jam's influence on hip-hop music and culture, will take audiences through the label's history, from humble beginnings to what is to come in the future. The show will feature artists who are true masters of ceremony; those who evolved from crowd movers to wordsmith lyricists, and helped transform the face of a culture and give birth to hip-hop's golden age. It will be the only night audiences can see a rare breed of pioneers across generations who have influenced millions, and continue to change the dynamics of hip-hop to this day. The event is promoted and presented by Masters of Ceremony.

Now in its 30th year, the label continues to be at the forefront of culture and innovation.

For this milestone, Def Jam Recordings will release two versions of a limited edition box set. This will include Selections From The Roots of Def Jam, which is curated by Rick Rubin and features music that inspired him to create the label, as well as a two-volume compilation of Def Jam Recordings' Greatest Hits.
